Plants out of Place
Plants out of place ran during the London Design Festival challenging the notion that weeds are, as the title suggests, merely plants out of place. It looked at how through a process of reappraisal the worth and potential of these species can be recognised. Claridge Architects designed the pavilion and I was asked by Studio Aikieu to build the exhibitors stands. Using reclaimed materials, where possible, these simple white plinths were an unobtrusive backdrop to the exhibits.
